Move the cursor to the game you want to add to your collection and press Y, just like you do to add/remove a game to Favorites.( Note: while in this mode you can't add games to your favorites). Look the message on top of the image below. After typing the name and pressing OK, you're now in a mode where the button you set to be Y adds a game to the collection.Select the option " CREATE NEW CUSTOM COLLECTION". Press Start to access the ES main menu and then select " GAME COLLECTIONS SETTINGS". Note: You can either choose to create a collection based on an unused theme folder, or if creating from scratch you'll need a keyboard to type the name of your custom collection. In the example below we'll create a custom collection to group Mega Man games. If there's no matching theme folder for the name you selected, it will be grouped under a new "Collections" carousel system entry. If the name of the collection you're creating matches an unused theme folder, it will be shown in the main carousel as a new system entry. Examples: shoot'em ups, beat'em ups, Street Fighter, RPGs, Batman, TMNT, Mega Man or any other category you can think. You can group games by any category you want.

It's pretty simple: just move to the game you want to add and press the button you set to be Y. Note that now you have more systems, like in the example below: After marking those you want, go back to the default ES user interface. And then mark those you want to enable.Next, select the first option: " AUTOMATIC GAME COLLECTIONS".press Start to access the ES main menu and then select " GAME COLLECTIONS SETTINGS".Note: In order to use this feature, the theme you're using MUST support it.

To clarify it's just a screenshot of the sections that I added, so there aren't any missing tags in es_systems.Īlso, my emulators.cfg for all 3 systems looks like this, save for the highlighted portion. Here are the 3 systems in es_systems.cfg. I know I have to have missed something, but I can't seem to find what. I definitely have my ROM and BIOS files in the right place, the. Sadly, nothing seems to work for me in Flycast or Reicast. I've followed the guide for adding a system to es_systems.cfg, and I've even gone in and edited emulators.cfg for each of the 3 systems. Now none of my Atomiswave, Naomi or Dreamcast games will work. When I got up and running, I installed lr-flycast, as I seem to remember it had better results for me. So to be clear, my ROM files have not changed. At least the ROMs that are supported by the emus, anyway.

With my previous setup, regardless of what (crappy) image I was using, I had all of my ROMs on a USB drive and they were working perfectly. I reinstalled RetroPie using the official image, on a Pi4.

So previously I'd been using one of those custom RetroPie images and like most people, became frustrated with all of the extra garbage the creator added, plus I had an issue with wpa_supplicant and couldn't reach my Pi wirelessly, so I wiped the Pi and started from scratch.
